Wisdom Teeth Removal in Middlesex
Wisdom tooth surgery with a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon — not a trainee.
Across Middlesex, wisdom tooth cases with a high risk of nerve injury (roots on or within the inferior alveolar nerve on CBCT) are often referred to Mr Farook specifically for his coronectomy expertise. Both the Clementine Churchill and Northwick Park sites can accommodate coronectomy under local anaesthetic or sedation.

About wisdom teeth removal
Not every impacted wisdom tooth needs to come out. NICE guidance (updated in 2020) supports removal only when there is a specific indication: recurrent pericoronitis, unrestorable caries, cystic change, or interference with orthodontic treatment. Where surgery is indicated, Mr Farook uses a CBCT scan for any tooth sitting within 2mm of the inferior alveolar nerve, and offers a coronectomy (removal of the crown only, leaving the roots in situ) where full removal would carry an unacceptable risk of permanent numbness. Recovery is typically 5–7 days of soft diet and analgesia; most patients return to office work within 3 days.
